Rear leaf spring work...

Ready for cleanup and new springdiscs
The transverse rear leaf spring on Triumph Spitfires can be a source of endless head scratching, pub discussions and general misunderstanding. The rear of a well-travelled Spitfire may be sagging, or the front may seem to be pointing upwards. Most of this can be traced back to the rear transverse leaf spring.
First I must run these on the lathe.
And mount them to the springs.

The frame

Finally it's time to start on the frame of the car.

The engine is removed from the frame for later.

Now we will start on the rear differential / leaf and move on to the front suspension.
